Photojournalism
A photograph can change our opinion of a subject, perspective of an event and perhaps even change the way we view the world.
A photo can enable us to travel through space and time to a place we may never visit to a place of wonder, beauty or conflict.
The work of the photojournalist strikes at the heart of the story. They not only immerse themselves, but also the audience, in the lives, narratives and emotions of those they meet, the events they witness and the communities they visit.
They offer us a slice of life suspended in time, a slice of life that tells a story and offers a glimpse of the past, present and future… all at the same time.
