Rob Matheson

Rob Matheson joined Al Jazeera English (AJE) in January 2012 as an Output Producer, before which he was an anchor and reporter for BBC TV and Radio in Scotland. He was part of the team which launched Al Jazeera America in 2013. Rob anchored pilot shows and helped develop workflows. He later began anchoring regularly for Al Jazeera English. Since 2020 he has been presenting full-time. Rob has reported from Mauritania, the UK, South Africa, China and the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, and has been deployed several times to Iraq, Gaza, Israel, Oman and Lebanon. He has covered politics, crises and conflict; victories and catastrophes. Before Al Jazeera English, I was an anchor and reporter for BBC TV and Radio in Scotland.
